Wow...

So yesterday my mother and I went to SPROUTS because they had grapefruit for $0.19 EACH! are you crazy! That is amazing! So we had to drive out of the way to get the great deal. Well, while we were there, my mother (who never wants to try anything I suggest) actually suggested something that I have been reading in my Oxygen magazine every issue. It is a little thing called Ezekiel Bread! It is AMAZING! It made about the best piece of Peanut Butter toast I have ever tasted! Had one last night AND this morning. Just FYI. It's not gluten free (sorry Susan!) but it is delicious! Oh but Susan, if you didnt get the circular, SPROUTS is having a Gluten Free expo or something. I figure (since your the only one who reads this) that I could tell you! WOOHOO!

And yay for my mother suggesting that turned out to be so yummy!

So I guess I should use this thing, huh?

So the weekend is over....and I couldn't be happier.

We had a great run with Side by Side by Sondheim, both nights were a hit and wonderful in my humble opinion, and we owe a HUGE thanks to all the people who helped us put it on...and especially to Susan Fox who makes all the magic happen because I am poor. God I love her. She is awesome!

Anyways. Now that I have a life again, and by life I mean...no life... because I am finally back to doing nothing, which is how I like it half the time. And by doing nothing I mean working 3 jobs and spending all my free time doing one of the following: hanging with Cuong, cuddling with Hamlet, reading scrapbooking/cardmaking blogs and webpages, making cards and scrapbook pages, spending hours wandering around Michael's (constantly adding things to my basket and then putting something else back...repeat about 100 times....and finally I get to the checkout [after 2 hours or so] and buy the whole 4 things I have settled on, 2 of them usually being from the $1 section and the other 2 being coupon worthy), and cooking for the crazy Southbeach diet that I am on.

Oh speaking of that. Today was a very good day. Officially I can start eating grain again. I know it doesnt seem like much, but you have no earthly idea what I have been through the last 4 weeks. Now really I started eating grain on Saturday night, after the show-when I ate Taco Bueno tacos and a burrito (Definitely NOT on the Acceptable Food List, but what the hell, I just finished a show and was hungry! That is excuse enough, right?). Oh and then the French Toast at iHop on Sunday morning when I didnt have to be at church - but I DID have the Low Fat version they offer, AND sugar-free syrup! So I am calling it acceptable!

Anyways, today has been decent. Tomorrow will be better because I only have to work 1 job! Woohoo! Thank GOD I dont have any bills to pay or I would never get a break! Where does all the money I make go anyways? I wish I knew.

What a hot weekend it has been...108 *gasp*, but I cooled off a little by going to a Scrapover at Susan's house!!

I got TONS done, and we got some music stuff figured out for our show...

We're BAAAaaack!

So now that is has been a week since we arrived home, much has happened! I am on this productivity kick since I was unable to get started on projects while dreaming them all up on our vacation...so, I have been going strong since we got home. Some things that are taking over my life for the time being are....

1. Making a Scrapbooking space in my room (CHECK!) - Pictures coming soon!!!!

2. Scrapbooking our entire vacation (I'm working on it!)

3. Trying to get back into a healthy eating routine (now that Cuong and I have satisfied all out Plano/Richardson/USA cravings - First Chinese BBQ, Braums, Raising Canes Chicken, and Quesadillas at my parents house, I can now keep up with my dietary plan!)

4. Doing more cardio now that I do not have the SMU gym to use...

5. Trying to get a job at a gym so I can pursue my personal training certificate.

So I am way excited to continue on with my life, but I do miss the quaint charming town of Kinzenbach! Anyways! there is always something to do now that I am home!

OH! and Cuong has an interview this morning!!! wooohooo!!! Go get 'em honey!!!!

Last Week!

So we are already in our last week here, which is amazing because I can barely believe we have been here 4 weeks. It is so nice to have such amazing family and friends who make the time here nothing but enjoyable. :)

After Bavaria, is was off to Switzerland with Mary, Steffen, and the Kids! We had such a great time with them! What a fun road trip it turned out to be! Here is the documentation...

It has been a while, again...

so it is over halfway through our trip, and I have posted once, now twice. It is terrible I know, but I am sorry. We are having a great time at my aunts house, and it has been nice to be in the same place for more than 3 days. We head to Bavaria on Wednesday, back to Kinzenbach on Saturday, then to Switzerland on Monday. After 3 days in Switzerland, we spend 2 days in the Black Forest, then back to Kinzenbach! Then it will be just a few days until we head back across the sea to Texas! Those days are already filled too with a canoe trip with some of the families the kids know from the area. It should be really fun.

It has been super hot here lately though, and without AC, it is hard to muster. Fans are on all day and night because of the heat. We have been spending many days at the swimming pool in attempts to beat the heat!

We have also been having and attending gathering after gathering with good food and even better company. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming, and we are usually in for a treat with salads that were picked from the garden the same day as the party, and homemade desserts, and meats galore!

Well, there is more to come, whenever I get another chance!

Sorry so Late

Okay, so I did not finish my blog about our 1st week before we left on our Bakcpacking adventure, so I will post them out of order. Today we are leaving London and headed for Amsterdam. We are taking an overnight ferry and are looking forward to sleeping without 6 other people. The Travel Joy Hostel we stayed at in London was great! I have never hosteled before, and this was a great surprise...I had set my expectations low due to what I have read about many hostels. But this was great!! We saw all the major sites that everyone sees, and even managed to take time to enj0y lunch in the park and more than a few World Cup games on TV. Anyways, here's to more adventures!!!

Across the pond...

So tomorrow we are leaving for Europe. Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Bavaria, and Switzerland are all on the list! I hope to update on here to keep things organized for myself. So, if you wish to follow along, be my guest!!!

Let the Games Begin!

Isn't it funny how everything starts at the same time!

School, Showboat, Work, Life...

But it is all wonderful. Showboat is going great, and I have met so many wonderful people!

School starts tomorrow, which is not exciting, but I hope to do well this year and graduate with honors! Cross our fingers! So I am ready to buckle down and give 100%, which is not usually the case, but this semester it is necessary.

Trader Vics unfortunately closed, but I will still have a job with the Chef Mike Owens, thank goodness! And that will start when Showboat is over.

I am having a great time singing for church, and things are going great at Lake Highlands!

And life is great because I have successfully done 3 scrapbook pages, which all look amazing, if I do say so myself! And the 4th one is to be done on Saturday!

Life is just falling into place! Im so glad!

So I am aware that it has been too long since my last post.

Well, it is freezing outside, and the holidays went well, so there is not much to mention, except...

Showboat is starting in a few days, very excited for that!

School is also starting in a few weeks, not so excited for this...
